Clinical haematology and bone marrow transplant
The Department of Clinical Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) provides a tertiary-level service, with National Association of Testing Authority (NATA) accreditation, encompassing the following areas:
- Malignant haematology (all leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma)
- Autologous peripheral blood stem cell and bone marrow transplantation
- Related Donor Allogeneic Peripheral Blood Stem Cell & Bone Marrow transplantation
- Apheresis Program
- Clinical trials – both national and international
- Benign haematological disorders
- Blood transfusion
- Haemophilia care
The Bone Marrow Treatment Unit is a modern, dedicated and fit-for-purpose treatment environment with six pressurised rooms to look after some of the most unwell members of our community.
