Continence Advisory Service

The Continence Advisory Service provides preventative, curative and health maintenance in the management of continence function through:

• assessment, education and treatment for individuals
• group education to enhance knowledge and skills for continence management
• support and sharing of information and resources with health professionals and support staff.

The client group are adults over 18 years.

Services are provided in a centre-based clinical setting.

Services are provided 8.30-4.30 Monday to Friday.

Note:

• no services are provided on weekends or public holidays
• there is no cost to the consumer for services provided.

Referral Process

For persons over 65 years:
All referrals are directed to My Aged Care PH 1800 200 422; www.myagedcare.gov.au
Weekdays 8am – 8pm; Saturdays 10am – 2pm

For persons under 65 years
All referrals are directed to the Intake Team, Townsville Community Health Service
