Community advisory networks
Community advisory networks are groups of community members passionate about supporting their local health service. These groups provide information, ideas and advice to ensure that services can meet the needs and preferences of the people who use them.
Each network is represented at the Consumer Advisory Council which looks at issues across the entire Townsville Hospital and Health Service catchment area from a consumer and community perspective.
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service has community advisory networks in Townsville, the Burdekin, Richmond, Charters Towers, Hughenden, Ingham and on Magnetic Island which all meet monthly.
